The Story
How this challenge was approached and solved
A B2B SaaS client saw a 40% drop in organic traffic after a major Google core update. Their content had been heavily optimized using old-school keyword stuffing, which the new algorithm flagged as low-signal. I performed a logic density audit and found that while the articles were technically correct, they lacked practical proof.
Instead of chasing new keywords, I refactored the top 50 high-impact articles to focus on decision-making and trade-offs. I added architectural decision records to technical posts and logic logs to management guides to prove the content was grounded in real-world implementation.
Within 90 days, organic traffic recovered completely and surpassed the previous baseline by 15%. Time on page also doubled, proving the content was finally high-signal for human readers, not just bots.
